Everyone can benefit from Meditation, Reiki and Zentangle There is no age limit or requirement
Children to the elderly will benefit from these three practices!
Meditation reduces stress, promotes health, helps with anxiety, emotional well being, and “can produce clinically meaningful reductions in Blood Pressure”
according to recent clinical trials. three modalities are incredibly complimentary and work wonderfully together. I have had great results working with problems related to excess tension build up, chronic pain, issues ranging from visual clutter from concussions and Post Concussion Syndrome (PCS) from Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI), to sinusitis, people who suffer from chronic headaches, insomnia, fibromyalgia and problems of fatigue. None of these is intended or should replace your standard medical care. They should be used as another tool in your arsenal to combat illness and maintain wellbeing.
You can use Reiki for general wellness as well as for specific issues, in the same way as meditation. Additionally, Reiki before and after chemotherapy, proton therapy, dialysis and other chemical or radiation based therapies, has helped my patients with nausea, headaches, energy levels, appetite and sleep. My hospice patients find the treatments ease their pain and soothes their nerves. Reiki is extremely effective with children and babies, particularly those with colic. I have also found that Reiki prior to and after surgery is of great benefit. Among the expected benefits of relaxation and balance, patients appear to heal faster and have smoother recoveries. Meditation and Zentangle are known to aid in post surgical recovery as well.
Patients who’ve suffered a TBI and have an ongoing PCS are dealing with particular challenges.
I have first hand experience with this:
having had an accident in June of 2017, and as a result, I’m still living with the PCS caused by my TBI. I can honestly say that I am recovering and coping with the changes in my brain more rapidly than the average TBI survivor because of my daily practice. I have learned to work with and manage my Post Concussion Syndrome so that I am a functional person, because I am committed to my ‘healing time”. My recovery is completely connected to my Meditation and Reiki, and my ocular issues improve and cause me less problems because of my Zentangle practice.
I have several PCS patients who have told me they’re finding relief from their ongoing concussion symptoms working with with these three relaxation techniques, and get particular benefits with Zentangle because of the fine lines, repetitive patterns and the eye focus needed. It is an optimal ocular exercise.
All three modalities are very relaxing and can be extremely helpful in easing your anxiety and combating your stress. In conjunction with psychiatric therapy and medication they are very effective in helping you work through your emotional and mental issues.
Learning Reiki can be particularly helpful if you’re hurting or suffering from emotional problems. The practice and it’s focus can help center your mind and help you shift your attitude towards one that is more balanced..
